Submission Guideline


 

All authors are responsible for understanding these guidelines before submitting manuscripts.

Authors must submit manuscripts electronically to the JPE online manuscript submission system. Before submitting a manuscript, please confirm the JPE style and format your manuscript accordingly. It is the author's responsibility to ensure that the submitted files are fully viewable and in the intended format.

 

First-time Users

 

Please note that the first-time users of the system have to create an account at JPE online manuscript submission system 

 

Submission Fee

 

We don't charge an author a submission fee at the time of manuscript submission. However, we do charge a publication charge for an accepted manuscript for publication. Please find the information about the publication charge here.

  

Email Address Requirements

 

All authors listed in a submission are required to provide institutional email addresses. Acceptable email addresses include those issued by academic institutions, government agencies, or companies. Email addresses from providers of free and anonymous email services (such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) are not permitted. Submissions that do not comply with this requirement will not be considered for review.

 

Style for a Manuscript for Review

 

  • Paper size: A4 (21cm x 29.7cm)
  • Length: The manuscript should be no fewer than six (6) and no more than ten (10) pages, including figures, tables, appendix, and references.
  • Formatting: The manuscript must be formatted in double columns with single-spaced paragraphs (Line spacing: 1.15). Use Times New Roman, 10-point font size throughout the document.
  • File Format: The manuscript must be saved in MS-Word format (.doc or .docx). Although Springer provides support for LaTeX format, its use may cause inconvenience during the processing stage. Therefore, authors are recommended to submit their manuscripts in MS-Word format.
  • Title: Capitalize the first letter of each word in the title except for prepositions, articles, and conjunctions. Please do not include articles (a, an, the) and avoid using clichés such as new, novel, enhanced, or improved in the title.
  • Author's information: Please include the full names, positions, and affiliations of all authors on the first page of the manuscript.
  • Abstract: Please provide an abstract of 150 to 250 words. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references.
  • Keywords: Please provide 4 to 6 keywords for indexing purposes. Please capitalize the first letter of each keyword and separate them by a bullet (•).
  • Body:
  1. All figures, tables, and captions must be included within the main text.
  2. Figures and tables should be placed at the top of the page and must be of the highest possible quality.
  3. If a figure or table is too large for one column, it should span the entire width of the page.
  4. Use Arabic numerals for numbering all figures and tables (e.g., Figure 1, Table 2).
  5. Figures and tables must be cited in the text in consecutive numerical order.
  • Acknowledgment: Acknowledgments of people, grants, or funds should be placed before the reference list. Full names of funding organizations must be provided.
  • References: 
  1. Cite references in text using square brackets (e.g., [1], [2], [3]).
  2. Full reference details must be provided at the end of the manuscript.
  3. Authors should avoid excessive citation of past publications from JPE.

  • Periodical Publications - Authors (The last name and a comma followed by initials of the given name): Title of paper. Title of Periodical. Volume number(Issue number) Page numbers (Year)
  • Books - Authors: Title of book. Chapter or Page numbers. Publisher Name (Year)
  • Webpage - Title of Website. Page Address (Date of the access)
