 Abstract

Changing the power loss of the system is an effective method to further improve the performance of wireless power transmission. In this paper, the feasibility of the electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) like phenomena in magnetic coupling wireless power transfer (MC-WPT) systems is mathematically demonstrated by analogizing it to the EIT phenomenon of three-energy-level atomic transition systems. The parameter conditions for the occurrence of EIT-like phenomena in wireless power transfer systems were derived, and the relationships between the occurrence of EIT-like phenomena and frequency as well as circuit quality factor are investigated. Based on this, circuit compensation topology parameter design criteria for EIT-like WPT systems are proposed. Theory and experiment have confirmed that the EIT-like mechanism can effectively reduce system losses and improve system energy efficiency.
