 Abstract

In this paper, an enhanced sensorless control scheme for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM) based on high-frequency pulsating voltage injection into the stationary reference frame (HFPVI-SRF) with a generalized integrator is proposed to solve the DC bias and improve the position estimation accuracy. Only the β-axis stator current is needed to estimate the rotor position in the proposed method. Thus, the problem of the DC bias is solved. First, a third-order generalized integrator is used to extract high-frequency current. The third-order generalized integrator has unit gain and zero phase shift at the center frequency, ensuring accuracy in terms of extracting high-frequency current. Then an enhanced second order generalized integrator is used as a quadrature signal generator, and the phase shift generated by the low pass filter can be accurately compensated. The proposed method is verified by experiments. From the experimental results, it can be seen that compared with the traditional HFPVI-SRF, the proposed method significantly reduces the rotor position error under the rated load and no-load, with a steady-state error of less than 10 degrees.
